COVID-19: Letter to the community

 To Our Community,

The health and safety of our clients, staff members, their families and our community are our top priority. We are diligently monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and closely watching official information from health authorities as it relates to our community.

Hospital Closure Concerns:  Unless dictated by the local health authorities and as long as our personnel remain healthy, our hospital will remain open.  Any modification to our hours will be posted on our website, Google, Instagram and Facebook.

Diligence in practicing preventative measures, including excellent personal hygiene, is the best way to prevent the spread of communicable disease and illnesses. Our staff members are monitoring themselves and family members for whom they provide care for signs and symptoms of illness and will stay home as necessary to prevent spreading illnesses to others.  Staff members are requested to stay home and be fever free for 24 hours without medication and not experiencing vomiting or diarrhea for 24 hours prior to coming to the clinic. 

Appointments: Our lobby is closed but we rain open to care for our patients. Our new COVID-19 Safety Measures allow our team to care for your pet while practicing social distancing. The entire team wears personal protective equipment (masks and gloves) while caring for your pet. We continue to practice highly stringent disinfection protocol used before the pandemic. 

In efforts to make our hospital as safe as possible for both our clients and our health care team, appointments will be performed on a drop-off basis.

1.  At check-in, we will take in your pet from you at the check-in station and confirm your phone number

2.  History will be taken outside or over the phone

3. The doctor will perform the exam and call you

4.  If requested, a treatment plan will be provided via email for your review and authorizations

5.  Payment will be collected at the door or over the phone

6.  We will meet you at the door to discharge you pet

It is essential that anyone displaying symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, cough, or shortness of breath) or who has traveled internationally in the last 14 days or to an area in the United States with high incidence of COVID-19 call us to discuss your pet’s needs and your situation. We have plans in place to help ensure your pet receives the care it needs. 

Medications: We recognize many of our clients would appreciate the added convenience of refilling medications from home.  If you would like to stock up on your pet’s medications, we can accommodate up to a 90-day supply of most medications, please always us 48 hours to prepare your prescriptions. You may also order food and prescriptions via our online pharmacy.
